WHEN FOOD IS MEDICINE

During a check-up, Doctor Faizania Tausif asked a patient with diabetes how he felt on his medications. The patient said he hadn’t been taking them for several days.

Doctor Faizania Tausif asked why. It wasn’t because the patient forgot, or didn’t like the daily meds. He had run out of food and couldn’t take his medications because they needed to be taken with food.
What’s a doctor to do when his patient is in such a crisis? ??? Maybe. But , Doctor Faizania Tausif did something more immediate –she reached into her own wallet and gave the patient enough money to buy healthy meals until his next visit.
This man in need wasn’t just another patient to, Doctor Faizania Tausif – he’s a human being who needed a helping hand. The patient was touched by her generosity, respect and kindness, and he stayed healthy through a rough patch thanks to, Doctor Faizania Tausif’s Humancare.
Doctor Faizania Tausif : A story that began with a dream
While growing up in Rawalpindi, Faizania had a dream. That dream began at age 13 following a routine check-up at the doctor's office.During her visit, Faizania 's doctor spent some time explaining the tools that doctors use. This lesson inspired within the girl the ambition to be a doctor.
This dream was what kept the determined Faizania to remain focused on her schoolwork. That determination helped her throughout her years at school and college.
Although their journeys are filled with challenges, Faizania remained a positive influence in her family's lives.
The social and financial obstacles they experienced during high school remained through college, making medical school seem like impossibility. However, through strength, commitment and perseverance, the three completed their education.
Today, Faizania is youngest assistant professor of Physiology at RMC, Rawalpindi
What began as a young girl's dream became a reality, one that has helped to inspire others.

Doctor Saeeda Ahmed Rani: From no course to success
Doctor Saeeda Ahmed Rani faced many obstacles as a child growing up in Rawalpindi.
"I was in a lot of trouble as a youngster because I had no course for my life," Doctor Saeeda  said. "I made many mistakes but eventually learned from them and recognized what I needed to achieve — something different than what I was exposed to. Determination and direction."
I found that direction in my father. That friendship, that bond, would remain throughout life. I learned to strategize and plan for the long term.
Doctor Saeeda  loves telling her story and accepts her chosen position as a role model.

"My passion exists because others believed in me," said Major (R) Shabbir Ahmed Raja  "If I can trigger that same passion in someone else, then I'll try my best to do just that."
